Spanish Honor Society members passed out carnations Feb. 12 for Valentine’s Day. The annual event raises money for the club, which uses it for the inductions ceremony, senior gifts and their annual scrapbook. “We are having a fundraiser to raise money for the society while spreading some love with carnations for Valentine’s Day,” Spanish Honor Society president Adeline Zoellner said. Students bought the carnations the week before Valentine’s Day for$2 a flower and have it delivered. They put the name of the person it was to be delivered to on a slip of paper and a little note for that person. “Sadly, it (was)not possible for us to give carnations to people online, but we (gave) them to whoever is in school and in person,” club secretary Alex Morales said.
