The Scream franchise started with the first scream in 1996. It was slasher and had many iconic moments. It took place in a fictional town called Woodsboro, California with a high school girl named Sidny Prescott that has been trying to escape the towns serial killer, Ghost Face.
Scream 7 was released on Feb 27, three years after Scream six and the movie has not had the best reviews so far.
Before the movie started production, they fired the main actor that played Sam Carpenter. Her name was Melissa Barrera, she was fired because of she spoke out about against Israel, and what’s happening in Palestine. This also caused Jenna Ortaga and the leading director to leave the movie, believing that without Melissa there is no movie.
Because of this many fans decided that they wouldn’t even see the movie. This didn’t seem like a bad decision due to the boring and extremely bad writing that went into the movie.
Talking about the bad writing, this Scream had one of the worst
Ghostface reveals in the franchise. Every Scream movie they reveal who the killer was at the end, likely being someone in the main crew to have a surprise plot twist. In Scream seven people say this might be the worst one because of who the ghost faces were.
One was Sidney’s neighbor, that was an obsessed fan on her, and a doctor working at a mental hospital. Neither the Doctor or the Neighbor got very much screen time which really ruined any chance of a plot twist because no one really cared for the two killers.
