Does the name Wednesday Addams sound familiar? Well, it should, as the star daughter from the Addams Family Show and now main character of her own show on called “Wednesday.”

On November 23, 2022, it was released on Netflix and can be watched on the platform as a Netflix Original.

This show includes Wednesday – played by Jenna Ortega – and many other teenagers that are descendants of mythological beings like Medusa, werewolves, and different types of sirens. Viewers follow Wednesday while she is attending Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts in a town called Jericho, and as she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability while a mysterious monster is on killing spree.

Wednesday also brings back characters from pervious Addams shows. Characters includes Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, Thing, and of course Wednesday. They even brought back the original actress for Wednesday Addams, Christina Ricci, as a new character Marilyn Thornhill – a teacher at Nevermore Academy. The story line of this show introduces a new plot and reinforces backgrounds of the Addams family.

I enjoyed this show’s mystery and plot twists. The show overall was amazing from the storyline to the references made in the show. I loved Wednesday’s Rave’N dance and the 70s/80s moves from Bob Fosse. I also love the cast and how they had everyone act, for instance most of the show Wednesday did not blink except for one time at the end of the show. Tim Burton’s directing is always amazing, and this just added to the list and the diversity of his craft.

The only dislike I had with this show is how Pugsley acted, I feel that he was in a sense softer because in the first episode of the show Pugsley was being bullied and left it to Wednesday to take revenge, but I feel history of the Addams family shows would have had Pugsley’s take revenge himself or help Wednesday do it.

I recommend this show to anyone who loves the Addams family or just wants to watch a nice quick show that has a good plot story and cast.
