The Student Government is getting ready for Valentine’s Day with our annual rose delivery.
On Thursday, Feb. 12, pink Celine roses will be handed out in classrooms across campus.
Teacher assistants and seniors will help deliver the roses to students and staff, making
sure every anonymous order reaches the right person. Rose sales are now officially closed,
and Student Government is focused on preparing for distribution day.
The annual fundraiser is more than just a Valentine’s gesture. It plays a large role in
supporting important senior‑year activities. Money raised from the rose sales will help pay
for senior brunch, the senior field trip, senior week, and other senior events.
Senior Class President Jaelyn Hicks explained why the fundraiser matters so much. “A lot
of people don’t realize how many of our senior activities depend on fundraisers like this,”
Hicks said. “Every rose someone bought helps make everyone’s last year a little more
memorable.”
This year’s roses will be pink, chosen to represent kindness and appreciation for loved
ones. Student Government hopes the color will help spread a warm and welcoming feeling
throughout the school. The goal is not only to raise money but also to bring the campus
together.
Hicks said the team wanted the event to feel meaningful for everyone. “Valentine’s Day
can be fun, but it can also make some people feel left out,” she said.
“We wanted to do something that includes everyone and reminds people that they
matter.”
The rose delivery has become something students look forward to each February. It gives
the students and staff an opportunity to celebrate friendship and community.
Seeing roses passed from student to student from their secret admirer creates a sense of
connection that lasts beyond the holidays.
As Student Government finishes its final preparations, they hope this year’s fundraiser will
continue to build school spirit while helping the senior class enjoy the special events that
come with their final year.
With hundreds of pink roses ready to be delivered, the campus is set for a day filled with
appreciation, unity, and Valentine’s Day to cheer.
