Senior Chamberlain Campbell is a student at Lakewood High School. He plays both football and basketball and has scholarship offers for both sports. Campbell transferred from Shorecrest Preparatory School where he spent the first two years of his high school career. He then transferred to Lakewood High School his junior year. Campbell averaged 4.5 points per game. He had 0.5 assists per game and had 7.5 rebounds per game his junior year for his basketball season. Due to a pulled hamstring, Campbell could not play football his junior year.

Campbell has a lot of offers for both basketball and football. The offers he has in football are from Michigan State, The University of Miami, The University of Kansas and many more. In basketball he has a scholarship from Eckerd College. He received these offers in basketball during a league he was in over the summer and received football offers in the middle of October.

“I feel great it is a blessing, and I have to thank all my coaches and family and friends for pushing me to be great,” Campbell said.

Campbell is the only player in the county that has received offers for both football and basketball and is skilled at both. This season he plays defensive tackle in football. He averages 5.0 sacks per game, 27 total tackles and has 11 QB hurries in his first year playing football.

“[He is] definitely excited, and he shows people when you do the right thing and work hard that good things happen, and he has earned everything he’s got,” Head football coach Cory Moore said.
