After months of waiting and anticipation Marvels Deadpool and Wolverine was released in theaters this summer July 26.
The movie is as hilarious as ever and is one of the best projects Marvel has released since Endgame.
After the events form the last movie Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool wishes to leave his past behind. This all comes crashing down when The Time Variance Authority or TVA (first introduced in the Loki series) needs his help to prevent a multiverse threat.
The movie is full of great action, humor and too many cameos to count. The jokes are as funny and inappropriate as ever, and with the addition of Wolverine the laughs -and cursing- never stopped. Though I’m still not sure how Deadpool will fit in with the rest of the family friendly MCU movies.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star as Deadpool and The Wolverine making their MCU debut, and their performances are as amazing as ever. Jackman’s return as the Wolverine gave this film an exciting new feel while still staying true to the movie series.
It’s no secret that Marvel movies have been lacking, each movie scoring low and low among both critics and fans. But with Deadpool Wolverine Marvel has finally broken its unlucky strike of blockbuster fails among fans. However, critics are once at odds over their opinion of the movie. Scoring a 95% among audience but only a 78% on rotten tomatoes.
Overall, this movie was great, it was a change of pace from the other MCU fails but was still different from the rest of the MCU and I’d highly recommend giving this a watch if you haven’t already. That is if you’re ok with crude humor.
