The updated homecoming dance information poster sits outside C-Wing on Oct. 14. With the effects of Hurricane Ian causing such disruption to Lakewood’s homecoming plans, these posters required a change.

After waiting an extra week or two, it’s here. This weekend, Saturday, Oct. 15 is the Lakewood High School
homecoming dance. Previously scheduled for Oct. 1 but interrupted by Hurricane Ian, students are quite enthusiastic about the rescheduling. This event will be starting at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 11 p.m in the gymnasium. The theme is still “Enchanted Garden.”

All students are required to have is their ticket and some nice clothes. Tickets will be checked at the entrance by staff members, having been sold every day during lunch for the past few weeks.

“It just gave me more time to get ready,” Junior Micheal Taylor said.
