Lakewood High School hosts SPC day for seniors to apply without cost and learn about St. Petersburg College in room 401 on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Everyone there had good things to say about SPC. The college provides various extracurricular activities that can help scholars become familiar with the campus and get their names out there.

“You can be a big fish in a small pond,” Admissions Recruiter Jocelyn Joven said. Likewise, Joven said that there are a lot of pros to going to SPC such as affordable tuition and chances to shine.

Senior Zoe Woodard decided to apply for SPC today because she said it’s a “smarter decision, money wise.” She has been working on her college admission essays since last summer. She feels completely in charge of her future which she said feels comforting and frightening.
