Looking for something to watch? If you said yes, then look no further than on Starz. The series named Black Mafia Family more commonly known as “BMF” premiered in the USA on Sept. 21,2021.

This series was created by Randy Huggins and executive produced by 50 cent is based on the true story of two Detroit brothers name Demetrius Flenory (played by Demetrius Flenory Jr. aka lil meech) and Terry Felnory (played by Da’vinchi Abraham).

This series serves to highlight of their come up of becoming one of the most powerful figures in the drug and money laundering organization. Demetrius and Terry founded this drug organization in 1985.

The purpose of their business was to be a nonviolent drug establishment and an opportunity for “brothers” to make money.

Speaking of, the Flenory brothers grew up in a very religious home in Detroit, Michigan. Demetrius a.k.a “Big Meech” is shown to be charming, charismatic, and very protective of his family.

This is where the story starts as, he was the first to get into the drug game before his younger brother followed pursuit into being partners with him.

A thing I love about this series is that the person who plays Demetrius Flenory is his biological son.

Terry is shown to be quiet, smart, and intelligent meaning he was more known for being the “businessman” of the organization who handled the money and transportation of drugs.

Making their business nonviolent comes from the values of how their parents Charles and Lucille Flenory raised them.

However, something I didn’t like about this series is how they don’t show the parents’ backstory before conceiving the Flenory brothers. I feel as though as it would be a good way to set the scene and give the brothers to have a reason on why chose the life they did.

All in all, I highly recommend you watch this show because it gives you the backstory of drug criminal masterminds Demetrius and Terry Flenory. This story is very interesting and could give you a good background on how life was like back then for induvial who needed to do better for themselves and families.

If interested you can watch BMF on Starz, or stream it on their website, I suggest ages 15 or older watch the series BMF because of the content and topics discussed in this series.
