Some of the main characters of this movie are Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Muzan Kibutsuji, Akaza, and Doma. Infinity Castle movie took approximately 3.5 years of production. With a watch time of 2h and 35 min.
I would first like to say that I hate that they left the movie with biggest cliff hanger ever. Demon Slayer: Infinite Castle was one of the most emotional movies I have ever seen when it comes to anime. This movie goes into depth of how the characters’ development led them to where they are now in the infinite castle battling demons to protect humanity. There were two parts of the movie that were so good that it caused me to cry 3 times in the movie theater. My two favorite scenes were seeing two battles between Zenitsu Agatsuma vs Kaigaku, and the battle between Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka vs Akaza.
Seeing the battle between Zenitsu Agatsuma vs Kaigaku was my second favorite battle in the infinite castle. This battle is when Zenitsu goes against a former senior. The demon version of Kaigaku (Upper Rank 6), who fights Zenitsu in the castle. The backstory of this fight is so interesting to me. Kaigaku turned into a demon because he faced the upper one of twelve demons which is Kokushibo. Instead of fighting to the death and dying with dignity he begged to stay alive without his humanity. Which would turn him into a demon. Zenitsu was able to kill Kokushibo. This makes me believe you can do anything you put your mind to. Zenitsu had a lot of development though the past series he was always scared, wanted to be better but couldn’t, felt as if he was a burden to everyone. But he got better because he knew that was what he needed to do for himself and to make his trainer happy. The scene that made me cry though was when Zenitsu starts to have visons of his trainer who he called “gramps”. That part was sad to me hearing both cry and that’s why it’s my second favorite part of the movie. 10/10 scene from the movie.
Getting into the graphic of the movie though. It’s so high quality and the animation style was very goated. Which makes it 10 times better. The way they show emotion as well really puts the cherry on top making it more emotional for me to watch. The sound quality is even more astonishing, even the castle being so versatile, when drums are hit the rooms change form making such a good concept for battle and a challenging way for the demon slayers to fight the demons. Another scene that made me so sad was watching one of my favorite Hashira Dying in battle, Shinobu Kocho. Watching her get absorbed by the demon that killed her only sister years ago was painful to watch. She was one of my favorite characters throughout season 2-4. She made a big contribution to helping swordsmen and in particular Tanjiro helped him heal and get stronger for battle, she was always there for everyone and so kind. It was just sad to watch her death and even when Kanao Tsuyuri The sister she adopted a long while ago tried to help her in battle, but she failed sadly.
Lastly my all-time favorite scene in the movie was the battle between Tanjiro and Giyu vs Akaza (Upper Rank 3). It was such a long battle that lasted till the end of the movie. The saddest thing I ever seen and its not even an exaggeration was seeing a demon kill himself. Akaza was a very strong character he defeated a Hashira long before in season 2 the “Mugen Train Arc” defeating the Flame Hashira. Which was also a scene that saddened me. Akaza ended up meeting up with Tanjiro and Giyu after in season two of the series Akaza swore to kill Tanjiro whenever they met again. Akaza was having a flash back to his real life when he was a human. I started to cry. His life when he was a human was so miserable and sad to watch. He had to go through so much in his human life that I or most people couldn’t even handle. When Akaza killed himself, it was sad but happy that he left that life of endless killing as a demon and choose to be with peace.
The movie is worth watching if you like anime. It was worth the price when going to see in theaters. The quality, voice acting, production, anime style, and plot of the whole movie was Chief’s kiss. So good and would rewatch. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was left on a cliff hanger with it having to lead to another movie. But I’d wait another year or two for it to come out and watch. I am a little sad that one of my favorite characters had to die though. Overall, I’d rate the whole movie a 10/10 it couldn’t be any better.
