I recently tried the new Glorilla Meal from Checkers, even though I’m not a big fan of Checkers to begin with. Honestly, I’ve never really liked their food much, but I still wanted to give this meal a fair chance. After finishing everything, I can say it was okay overall, but definitely not amazing.
The chicken sandwich was the first thing I tried, and it was just average. The chicken wasn’t juicy or crispy like I was hoping. It kind of just sat there with no real flavor that stood out. The toppings didn’t make it any better either. I wouldn’t call it bad, but it was nothing special. If I was hungry, I could eat it, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to order it again. For that reason, I gave the chicken sandwich a 5 out of 10. It’s the definition of “decent but not good.”
The fries were a different story. Checkers fries are probably the one thing they’re known for, and this meal reminded me why. They came out fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite had that salty, bold flavor that makes you want to keep eating them. Honestly, the fries were the best part of the meal. I gave them 9 out of 10 because they were nearly perfect. Even though I don’t like Checkers much, I have to admit their fries are really good.
Next, I tried the lemonade. Lemonade is my favorite drink, so I was excited to see how theirs tasted. It was really refreshing and had the right balance of sweet and sour. It wasn’t too sugary, and it didn’t taste watered down either. It went especially well with the fries, almost like the two were meant to be paired together. I rated the lemonade an 8 out of 10, and it’s something I could see myself ordering again on its own.
The last item in the “Glorilla Meal” was the apple pie, and I was surprised by how good it was. The crust was crispy and warm, and the apple filling inside had a nice, sweet flavor without being too much. It felt like the perfect dessert to end the meal. I gave the pie an 8 out of 10 because it was tasty and satisfying.
Overall, the “Glorilla Meal” had its ups and downs. The chicken sandwich brought the rating down because it was just average, but the fries, lemonade, and apple pie all made the meal better. My final score for the whole meal is 6.5 out of 10. It’s not enough to change how I feel about Checkers since I’ve never really liked their food, but I can admit some parts of this meal were worth it. If you love Checkers already, you’ll probably enjoy it more than I did.
