Wendy’s latest collaboration with Netflix’s Wednesday series promises a “Meal of Misfortune”, has become very popular on the internet, mostly TikTok. Most report the meal being pretty tasty; with the most favorable item from the meal being Raven’s Blood Frosty. However, my Personal opinion doesn’t quite match with everyone else’s. For instance, the theme does deliver on style, but to me the flavor doesn’t quite match the drama. There were a few highlights (mainly the fries) but overall, my rating fell to 6.5/10.
The Meal comes in a decorated bag themed being based off the Netflix’s Wednesday series. In the bag there is a 10-piece chicken nugget named “10 Rest in Peace” chicken nuggets. Next, “Cursed and Crispy” Fries with a “Ravens Blood” Frosty to drink. It comes with Four dipping sauces named: “You Can’t Hyde” (spicy ketchup), “This Will Sting” (hot honey garlic), “Grave Mistake” (scorpion pepper), and “Nowhere to Woe” (spicy signature sauce).
To start off I tried the fries and surprisingly they were very fresh. Although I expected Wendy’s to have very dried out fries, they were thoroughly seasoned with salt, hot, and on the soggier side, which is how I like my fries. I dipped them in all the new sauces that came with the new Wendy’s meal. The first one I dipped my fries in was the “you can’t Hyde” spicy ketchup sauce which I didn’t like very much, it tasted slightly bland but little spicy, it was also kind of oily. Which is why the sauce gets a rating of 3/10. Next, “This will sting” hot honey garlic. The sauce was pretty good. My second favorite just needs a little more kick of spice added to it. 6/10. “Grave Mistake” scorpion pepper, a spicy sauce, if you’re really into spicy things this will be the meal for you, based of the fact that all the sauce had at least some sort of spice added to it. In all this one was a little too spicy for me, my least favorable one so I gave it a 2/10. Lastly, the “Nowhere to Woe” spicy signature sauce. This one was one of my favorites in my opinion this one kind of has a flavor like the spicy Zaxby sauce, which is totally fine, and why it’s my favorite out of all the sauces.
Onto the nuggets, and it’s not a shocker that I didn’t like them at all. The flavor was just not a thing I like about nuggets, and the texture of the nugget is not my favorite. I don’t usually like Wendy’s nuggets, so this is reasonable for me 3/10.
Lastly, the “Ravens Blood” Frosty with a decorative spoon that comes with it, It’s good. The cherry syrup added to the vanilla ice cream really does look like blood, The only minus about it is that it’s quite sweet. I’m not too big on sweet or a big cherry flavor fan so that deducted a lot of points off the frosty ending it at a 7/10, I felt it had a lot more potential.
As I said the overall rating of the whole meal is a decent 6.5/10. With the fries and sauces being the star off the meal, it was a decent meal with versatile spicy dipping flavors. The only truly negative thing is the nuggets were not my cup of tea and the frosty was a little too sweet for my liking, the meal could be way better.
