Spirit week begins next week
With different events for each day, Lakewood is getting excited for Homecoming.
A flyer for Lakewood Spirit Week is put up on the cafeteria windows. It covers the themes for each weekday, Monday Sept. 26 through Sept. 30.

As Lakewood High School’s Homecoming of 2022 approaches, the details are officially decided. The theme for the dance is Enchanted Gardens and all Spartans are encouraged to participate in spirit week, beginning the Sept. 26 and ending on Friday, Sept. 30.
Monday of spirit week is generation day, calling all seniors to dress in 2000’s style, juniors in 1990’s, sophomores in 1980’s, and freshmen in 1970’s. Tuesday is hippie day for everyone, and Wednesday is “Everything but a Book Bag” day, requiring all students to leave their backpacks at home and get creative. Thursday is class color day. Seniors wear red, juniors green, sophomores blue, and freshmen wear yellow. Last but not least, Friday is Black and Gold day for all of Lakewood and a pep rally will be held during the last period of the day.
