With sparkling dresses and tailored tuxes, hundreds of students plan to dance until they drop on Oct. 1 for Lakewood’s 2022 Homecoming Dance. This event and the week before is the highlight of the first semester, and everyone is dying to know all the details about it.

The event will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Lakewood gymnasium. The theme for this year is Enchanted Gardens. Students still have a dress code to follow, though it is much more lenient than the everyday Pinellas County dress code, including dresses, sleeveless tops (as long as deemed appropriate), and more. The caterers this year will be Kitchen Whip, a soul food traveling chef.

Tickets are on sale during lunch for $25.00 each outside the cafeteria.

Students will be able to campaign for Homecoming Court by Sept. 12 and the student body will vote on Sept. 23 and 26 for underclassmen and Sept. 27 and 28 for the senior class.

“We want everyone to come out, feel comfortable and have a good time,” said Student Government Association sponsor Necole Tunsil.
